What a two-week closing delay actually costs
Everyone treats a slipped closing as an inconvenience. Priced out, a delay across a year boundary can cost more than the deal's entire transaction fee, and a December slip is the expensive one.

Your listings were worth $0 and the software said so
A percentage-based listing has no commission stored anywhere until it sells. Software that reads the stored field reports nothing, and a pipeline total that quietly omits your listings is worse than no total at all.

A cap does not change your split gradually. It changes it once, inside one specific deal, and that deal is worth a third number that matches neither the ones before it nor the ones after.
