Who owns the account, and what moves with me if I change brokerages?

Last updated Aug 25, 2026

You own the account. When you sign in for the first time, KeyFlow creates a workspace tied to your own Google account, not to a brokerage email or a brokerage-issued license. Change firms, and that workspace does not move, transfer, or need re-provisioning, because it was never the brokerage's to begin with.

Steps

  1. Change brokerages, however that happens for you.
  2. Sign in to KeyFlow the same way you always have, with the same Google account. Nothing on this end changed, so nothing here needs a migration, a support ticket, or a new sign-up.
  3. Everything is exactly where you left it: every transaction, every client, every message and checklist template, your commission history, all of it. None of it was ever scoped to a brokerage in the first place.

What you should see

The same workspace, the same data, the same login, on day one at your new firm as on your last day at your old one.

What is worth updating yourself

Nothing here happens automatically, because KeyFlow has no way to know your new brokerage's numbers on its own.

  • Your branding. Your logo and colors on the client portal and outgoing emails are yours to set, in Settings, and stay whatever they were until you change them.
  • Your commission settings. If you were pricing deals against eXp's fee structure and you are no longer on eXp (or the reverse), update the eXp Commission Settings card in Settings so new deals price correctly. A deal you already closed keeps the number it closed with either way.

When it doesn't work

  • You are on a Team Workspace someone else owns, not your own. Ownership of a shared workspace is tied to whoever created it, not to any one member's brokerage, and transferring that ownership to a different member is not something you can do yourself today. Reach us at support@keyflow.homes if you need it moved.
