How do I invite someone to my workspace?
Last updated Aug 25, 2026
Manage Team's Members tab has an Invite member card: enter an email, click Send invite, and that person joins your workspace, sharing the same deals, clients, and templates you already have. A second card, on the Team agent workspaces tab, invites someone to a workspace of their own instead. They are not the same action, and which one you want depends on whether the person should be working inside your files or keeping their own.
Before you start
- Send invite on the member card stays disabled until an email address is entered.
- Inviting a team agent requires picking a plan tier first; Send invite on that card stays disabled until a tier is selected.
Steps
Open Manage Team from the main navigation. The Members tab is open by default.
To add someone to your own workspace, enter their email in the Invite member card and click Send invite.
Fictional workspace: synthetic invitation. To give someone their own workspace instead, switch to the Team agent workspaces tab, enter their email in the Invite team agent card, choose a plan tier, and click Send invite. A team agent gets a separate workspace with its own transactions and clients; a share of their commission flows back to yours as a team-split income record, at whatever percentage you set after they accept.
Fictional workspace: synthetic invitation. Either invite lands in the Pending count in the header stats until it is accepted, resent, or revoked from the roster below its card.
What you should see
The invitee's email address, an "invited" state, and a resend or revoke control appear under the matching card. They do not appear in your Members roster or your Team agent workspaces list until they accept.
Here is the half you cannot see from your side. The invitee gets an email, "You're invited to [workspace name]" for a member invite, or "Your own workspace inside [workspace name]" for a team agent, naming who invited them, what plan tier they are on (team agent only), and a Join the team or Claim your workspace button. That link goes to a page that shows the same invitation details again before anything happens, so they are not clicking blind. They accept by signing in with Google using the exact email address you invited, not any Google account they happen to be signed into. The link expires after 14 days.
When it doesn't work
- The invitee reports "Wrong account" on the invite page. They signed in with a different Google account than the one you invited. The page gives them a Sign out button to fix it; there is no way for you to change the address on an already-sent invite, so revoke it and send a new one to the correct address instead.
- The invitee says the link is expired. Resend it from the roster under the matching invite card, which issues a fresh 14-day link, or revoke it and send a new invitation.
- Someone accepted, but you do not see them where you expected. A member invite adds them to your Members roster. A team agent invite creates a brand-new workspace for them, listed on your Team agent workspaces tab, not inside your own transactions or clients.
